Awesome Kitchen addition!!!

However, being new at retirement and receiving great advice from a grandmother, I decided I was going to give baking another go.
I purchased my Pro Line Mixer and so far so good! I have definitely learned baking is not like cooking! One must be precise with the ingredients. I will be trying the ice cream maker attachment next!!!

So Quiet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this KitchenAid Pro Line® Series 7 Quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer to replace my 6 quart KitchenAid Stand Mixer. I use my KitchenAid Stand Mixer a lot, not just during canning season where, with the aid of my many attachments, it is used almost daily. When my 6 Quart Bowl-lift stand mixer showed signs of wearing out, I decided to replace it with the Pro Line Series 7 Quart
Mixer because of the heavy use I knew I would be putting it through. Never did I imagine how quiet it would be! And having the extra bowl capacity is a plus. I look forward to many years of use with my new mixer.

Handles a big load

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my kitchenaid mixer. I first purchased the mixer over 4 years ago. Worked like a dream! Then started having trouble with the switch. After consulting the kitchenaid representatives, they sent me a brand new one. Wow! What great customer service. The new one has a distinctive clicking sound when under load which the old one never had. Though the motor is quite the clicking sound is disturbing. The company assured me and many other reviewers this is “normal”. Though I do not understand why one mixer has a click and another does not this does not seem “normal”. I hesitated to send my old one back but with the new 5 year warranty decided to go ahead and return it.
Another difference was the construction of the dough hook. The old one (which I kept) is thicker and weighs 40 grams more than the new one. Using the new dough hook I found the dough crawling up the hook more easily than the old one.
My family and I have owned dozens of kitchenaid mixers and we love the product. The 4 star rating is for the disturbing clicking noise as this is a very expensive machine and seems that should not happen under tight specifications. The company deserves a 5 star rating for customer service and a great warranty.
I would recommend this to a friend!
