Powerful!

Powerful! This is quite the upgrade from my pro 600 mixer. It has the power and capacity to handle the artisan bread dough that I make weekly. I love the coated attachments and the metal knobs.

Very easy to use and the sound is not very loud
Can't wait for my grandchildren to come so we can bake cakes and cookies and pies and ice cream and pasta

New is not always better

Go for the Pro Line...worthwhile endeavor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace a 5.5 quart unit. I gave the old unit to my parents, who were still using a 30 year 4 quart unit.
The best feature is the KitchenAid DC powered motor. While the KitchenAid AC motor works well, the DC motor is smoother and quieter. The power delivery is very consistent with the DC motor, especially when utilizing the attachments.
I will be using the attachments I have accumulated over the years. I'm glad KitchenAid has continued to keep the attachment design consistent through model upgrades. Its great to not have to replace attachment units already bought.
I was pleased with my previous two KitchenAid stand mixers. I have only upgraded to increase capacity. This unit was definitely worth the investment. If you have not had a KitchenAid stand mixer I highly recommend all KitchenAid stand mixers...they all have worked well...each successive unit is better than the one it replaced. And I believe they were all better than the competition.
In my experience, spending a bit more for a KitchenAid stand mixer has been worth every penny. Upgrading to larger capacity units has been a joy. Purchasing one with the DC motor is worth more than every penny!
