[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this unit as it has the most powerful motor offered. I previously owned a Kitchen-Aid mixer that was over 40 years old made with a Hobart brand motor. The Pro Line 7 with the 1.3 HP motor is the closest thing to the power of my original model that served our family so well for so many years.
My first test of my new Pro Line 7 was a family cheesecake recipe. Hands down I was not dissapointed in the motor strength as there were no signs of strain or resistance to breaking down the cream cheese which is usually a problem for other less powerful maxers.
My second test was bread dough with a large volume of flour. Again the motor had no signs of fatigue. Plus the large volume bowl was a welcome benefit as it could hold all the flour without issue.
Again, AWESOME!
I hope to get many years of trouble free performance as I did in the past.

Great upgrade from Professional 600

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Picked up this mixer a couple of weeks ago to replace a 15 y/o Pro 600 mixer. I'd already rebuilt the gear assembly on the old mixer once, and it was sounding like close to time to do so again.
I've only used this three times so far, and only for bread dough, but to this point I'm totally satisfied. It is MUCH quieter than the Pro 600, it hasn't struggled at all. No thoughts on the 7qt bowl, I haven't used it yet as the 6qt bowls fit perfectly and frankly are easier to add ingredients. To be honest, I don't think their is truly any "extra" capacity with the 7qt bowl. Sure, the bowl is taller, but the mixer paddle for example is still the same distance from the bottom. Unless you are going to fill contents so they come above the mixing attachments, you aren't getting anything "extra"
That said, for me 6qt is fine, I don't need any more than that but I did want to point it out. This mixer is solid, looks great and is without question a step up from the mixer it replaced. Looking forward to using it with larger batches of bread dough, cakes (plus frosting of course!) and I might even cave in and try one or two of the attachments.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a gift after owning the 5 quart model for over 30 years. It was still working great and gave it away to a family member. I wanted the larger capacity unit and it is great for large quantities. The only negative’s I have so far is that it does not fit under my cupboards on my countertop and the kneading attachment does not mix the dough well like the 5 quart unit did. I have to mix the dough first with the paddle, then attach the kneading attachment.

Quiet Machine, powerful motor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been begging my parents for one of these for Christmas every year since I was about 12 years old. I finally bought one myself as a birthday present and of course had to get the bigger one! I don't think words can express my excitement. Safe to say I have been using this thing alll quarantine long, with not a single thing I could complain about! Compared to the older models, this thing doesn't make a peep and runs like a charm. I can't wait to get some attachments for this bad boy.
