[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the 5qt KitchenAid mixer for years and I always loved it but I got the bug about wanting the 7qt so I gave the 5qt to a friend and bought the 7qt. They are both great mixers but I absolutely adore my 7qt! It is quiet and strong, and the slow start is a welcomed feature. I can’t recommend it enough!

Would be perfect but for the clicking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been using our 7-qt stand mixer for about seven weeks and we love it. But there is a problem that has been noticed by a lot of online reviewers: It tends to make a somewhat loud clicking noise under load. When mixing large batches of bread dough, the head clicks like there is something wrong. We've not noticed any of the other problems that are sometimes reviewed (leaking grease, metal shavings); just the noise.
However, the machine is a beast when it comes to mixing. We haven't yet been able to get the motor hot when mixing very large batches of dough. I can't imagine how much dough would have to be stuffed into the huge bowl for this thing to actually work hard.
Did I mention it looks beautiful? The Candy Apple Red is a great match for other appliances of similar color scheme.
