Lovely Mixer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned Kitchen Aid mixers for as long as I can remember (40'ish years). I've never had a problem with any of them. I recently upgraded to this mixer because I wanted something large than my Classic Mixer. I did a lot of research and I liked the warranty on this one. I was surprised that it was just a bit larger than my old mixer (it is smaller than I anticipated). I have used it multiple times to make bread. It works beautifully. You do hear a 'clicking' as many other mention but that is normal for this machine. It took me a minute to get the bowl on/off the first time but after that it was a snap. I got the pearl white color and I love that it isn't a stark white. I love the color. If you are on the fence, get this one! You will not be sorry!

She loves it, but fortunately for us she doesn't have room in her apartment to store it. So, we get to have it at our house and use it, too. It is amazingly quiet, very powerful, and beats everything smoothly. An absolutely top of the line mixer!

Why I upgraded to the Pro Line Series.

When I purchased my 2nd KitchenAid I passed my old one on for service to my daughter-in-law. I upgraded to the Pro Line Series and can't be happier with my mixer. I love to bake and my new machine does so well!!!!

Quit and powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to replace a 23-year-old 5-QT professional model that was still going strong but had some wear on a part that made mixing stiff doughs kind of dicey (the bowl could jump off the lift). I finally was able to upgrade to this, my dream model.
It's SOOOOO quiet and the motor is powerful and smooth. I swear it's quieter at top speed than my 23-year old model was on 2 or 4. The pearl white is a very nice color - deep and a tad iridescent. The dough and whisk attachments work very well - redesigned over the years and seem to be very efficient doing what they do. I LOVE the coating on the dough hook.
The bowl is BIG if you're used to a 5-quart model (do the math - it's 40% bigger!). But I'm sure we'll get used to it. It's only really an issue when we need to put it into the dishwasher. Surprised by how the mixer itself doesn't seem to be a whole lot bigger than my "smaller" old model - it's deeper but not any taller or much wider.
I use my mixer regularly - I use it to knead 3-6 loaves a week (it can easily knead 3 loaves at a time, and while the motor was up to it, I felt 4 loaves at a time was a bit too much dough for the bowl and for the dough hook to effectively manage). I use it for all sorts of whisking (egg whites, whipped cream) and making batters and cookie dough. It probably gets some sort of use 5 times a week in my home, if not more. I'm so glad I upgraded to this model.
I am very happy with this and fully expect it to last the rest of my life.

Great for large batches of cookie, pie and bread dough with no strain on the mixer. The bowl and attachments work very efficiently. I chose the pearl white color and love how it looks.
