Talk About A Mixer!

I have not only recommemded this mixer to my friends, I have given one to three of my children and one grandchild. The rest are waiting for theirs or have asked for and received one from their spouse! I received my first Pro Line back in 1973. I raised 5 children and baked cookies, etc for at least 10 grandchildren. The first thing that they ask for when they visit me is, "Can we make cookies"? I never bought yucky bread for my children - I always baked it fresh using my dough hook. I gave my last Pro Series to my son or rather traded it for the smaller on that I'd given him earlier. I do miss it even though the smaller one is nice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so happy with my new 7 quart Kitchenaid mixer. I love it, love it, love it!!!
I had my mom's 5 quart mixer that I used for years and it still works great but I was needing a bigger mixer for much of my baking. This is a wonderful machine and the candy apple red is the most beautiful red I have seen in appliances.
Perfect job Kitchenaid!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A giant of a mixer! Love almost all aspects of it. Wish it had the capability of supporting a smaller bowl when mixing a small batch though.

Great Machine

I have had the 5 quart for many years but as much as I love that machine it couldn't handle making bread, it liked to walk across the counter and sometime even started smoking. I still use this machine she sits right along side her big brother.
This machine is a beast and can handle any I have thrown at it. I handles my bread dough like a dream. The machine kneads the dough so well there is none either on the sides or bottom of the bowl. For full disclosure I did purchase the stainless steel dough hook as well as the paddle. No more bouncing no more smoking. I waited a long time to get the 7 quart and I read a lot of reviews and comments and glad I made the purchase.

Its just Okay

I have had my tilt head 5qt mixer for over 20 years and it has been awesome. My husband purchased this 7 qt bowl lift as a Christmas gift because I needed more capacity. I use my mixers A LOT. I am a soux chef by trade and outside of work I am constantly baking or cooking in my free time. There are quality differences in this new mixer that make me pessimistic in its longevity. The bowls are very thin material, not thick and sturdy like the old style. the whole mixer is much lighter in weight than my smaller tilt head. Grant it, I hate lugging my old one around because it is very heavy but it was quality! Also, the bowl is a huge pain to line up with the "nubs". So far it's an Okay mixer, no serious complaints. Not sure its worth what we paid. Hoping the motor can keep up like my old one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can not believe I waited so long to purchase one of these mixers. It works so great and I love the red finish! I went with the 7 qt model due to the DC motor and it’s so quiet. Well worth the investment!

The Best of the Best!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned KitchenAid mixers for over 30 years and this one is my all time favorite! I needed one that would handle larger quantities and it has been perfect. Not only do I use it for larger baking needs but also for smaller tasks as well since the larger bowl makes it easier to add ingredients and the motor speed is fantastic when starting out on the slowest setting. It is a winner for all types of baking needs.
