Great for large quantities

Works like a dream, three yrs old now. Somewhat noisy at high speed.
It's perfect for large qantities of dough, but whipping less than 8 eggwhites - or less than 5 lbs of dough is problematic, volume is too small. I might buy. 4.5 mixer for smaller batches.

It's difficult to scrape down bowl, even when bowl is lowered. I have to remove the bowl and the attachment completely to properly scrape it down.

Stepping up after 50 years!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got my first Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer over 50 years ago and it is still running— good as new. The only weak link was the dough hook which couldn’t perform too well with bagel recipes and others which called for a thick dough. After finishing chemotherapy which left me with neuropathy in my hands, my husband treated me to the Pro Line 7 quart mixer. Difficulty with kneading dough is now a thing of the past. Bagels are now a snap to make—as are large batches of other breads and cookies.

Real Work Horse!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Pro Line 7 quart because we gave our smaller KitchenAid mixer to family when we moved. We wanted and needed a large capacity. Chose this model because of its motor and drive capabilities. The motor is quite and smooth. Its the same DC motor as the commercial. At least that's according to specs. It has been put through its paces so far and its doing very well. I am truly enjoying having such a heavy duty mixer in my kitchen. We do a lot in the kitchen and currently this machine is keeping up. We purchased a bundle kit with the ice cream maker and the metal sausage grinder and stuffer. My wife has some food allergies that include gluten and eggs. So the Pro Line Series 7 has been great at coming up with allergen friendly foods. Bottom line of the Pro Line... It gets the job done!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this just in time for Christmas baking. Easily mixes double and even triple cookie recipes. My grandson loves helping. He can easily maneuver the bowl up and down and loves using the chute to pour ingredients. I loved my 5qt Kitchen Aid. Still works great, but after almost 30 years it was time for an upgrade.
