Love New Mixer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband upgraded my Kitchenaid mixer to the 7 qt Pro. I frequently make a large batch of sugar cookies or chocolate chip cookies. I had my old 5 qt Heavy duty Kitchenaid mixer around 15 years. It still works fine and my daughter-in-law is the new recipient. I love the new mixer and the bright red color. They do a great job grinding up meat. The new mixer is very quiet.

Strong Powerful Mixer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this mixer a couple months ago. This is an upgrade from a 6 quart mixer. After several years (20+) of use and abuse the 6 quart mixer gears died. The motor still runs strong. I have many add ons for the Kitchen-Aid mixer that it made sense to upgrade to the next size up. So glad I did. Thank you, Kitchen-Aid for years of trouble-free service.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Short life span for these 7 qt mixers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am now on my THIRD 7 quart mixer in 7 years - after having my first Kitchen last 18 years, and given to a friend. The first one spit metal into my dough, and was out of warranty. Thinking it a fluke, the second one lasted until May, when the lynchpin in the rotary hub spit into another dough. Because I have virtually every attachment, changing brands was not an option. I do have to say though, that because my machine was under warranty, it was replaced with a new one within a week - the customer service was excellent. I use my mixer at least 4 times/week, for bread, pasta, and pizza dough mostly.
