Yes, it really is that quiet.

Brand new and already in use and all I can say is, this is the mixer I have been looking for. I had a regular 6 quart, and then a Pro 6 Qt, but neither were the solid workhorse of my childhood. I have investigated the different models before but had not paid attention to the motor type DC vs AC.
When I turned it on, I immediately recognized that low steady hum, rather than the very metallic loud gear sounds that come from my 570 Watt 6Qt. Pro version (only 3 yrs old and works fine, though all of the bread I made in 2020 made it groan a bit).
One of my favorite things is that I can use all of my 6 Qt. bowls and tools that are 'extras'
like the flexible edge beater. I don't really need a 7 Qt. bowl...but I need quiet. I make bread almost exclusively and like I said kneading does stress even the 6 Qt. Pro, which is how I justified buying this one even though the 6Qt. one is only 3 years old.
My grandson already put in an order for a batch of overnight cinnamon rolls, to be delivered tomorrow afternoon. That is fine by me I am having a great time playing with my new toy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Attachments peeling already

I bought this in April 2020. I am not a power baker; I bake at the holidays and about once a month. I am sorely disappointed that the coating on the attachments is already peeling. The attachments have never been in the dishwater; I always hand wash them. I am concerned about the coating leaching into my baked good. I have had my old Kitchenaid for thirty years and had always been a Kitchenaid fan; but, I have to say I am disappointed in this purchase. Just not the quality I expected from Kitchenaid, and I am worried about continuing to use the attachments.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this a month ago after reading online reviews and asking numerous people and the 7 qt stand mixer is fabulous! it has a very powerful motor and mixes the heaviest doughs easily. We had NO trouble changing attachments or clamping the bowl in place, and the motor is very quiet. This is my new favorite appliance and the lovely red finish is a standout in our kitchen!

It is a great mixer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced an older 6 quart bowl lift mixer my sister gave me that was 20 years old. It was getting warm when I would knead a large batch of bread. I passed the Cobalt Blue mixer to a friend who does not make giant bread batches like I do and he loves it. Now my Candy Apple Red 7 quart works hard doesn’t get warm and is a beautiful sight to behold.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Pro 7 to just upgrade from my Pro 5 which will be passed down to my youngest son. I just wanted a larger mixer so I could make larger batches of baked goods. The Pro 4 was great. The Pro 7 is outstanding because of the larger size. Regardless of which mixer you pick, your level of satisfaction will be off the scale fir decades to come.

Works Well with My Cookie Recipes, Quieter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old KitchenAid mixer had the 6 quart bowl and was actually quite loud. This new one has a 7 quart bowl and is a lot quieter. Overall, the two mixers were about the same in functionality. My old KitchenAid failed after 20+ years service making cookies nearly every week, along with a great many other things. Plus, I used the attachments to make things like coleslaw, so it really got a workout. The pour shield is nicer on this new model and I think the lift mechanism is smoother too.

The only mixer for sourdough bread enthusiasts!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bake bread twice a week and this powerful machine has been a game changer since I used it from the very first time. In no time I have the smoothest and perfectly formed dough. In less than a month I have used it to make loaves of breads, homemade pasta, pizza, dinner rolls. My hands are cleaner, it does all the work in no time!
The best mixer I have ever owned and it looks so fancy too in my kitchen countertop!
