The thing prints. Its a bit noisy. I grew tired of HPs dying every two years. First Brother printer, wish it had a larger black ink cartridge. The scan and scan software work well. I would definitely consider purchasing another Brother.

This printer was easy to setup the print is very clear. The colored print also is very good better than the Epson printer I had previously. So far so good only had it working for three months.

Bought the MFC-J895DW to replace a competitor printer. Bought this printer based on another Brother MFC-J885DW in my house. I like the simplicity and ease of install for both printers ! Print quality is good and replacement cartridges reasonably priced compared to other brands. I recommend the Brother ink jet product line !

Color doesn’t seem to be as vivid as my other printer was. It also uses a lot of ink and I don’t really print that much. Not as user friendly as other printers. Brothers do not carry a high yield replaceable ink cartridge so I am trying a off brand since it uses so much ink.

Stated page yields for genuine Brother cartridges are based on the ISO testing standards. Third-party cartridges sold as “compatible” for Brother printers may not strictly adhere to the ISO Standard to determine their advertised page yields, therefore they may not be comparable to Brother Genuine cartridges. The number of pages that can be printed with a cartridge is affected by several factors, including paper size, number of pages per print job, amount of print on each page, font size, and print content (graphics, charts, etc.). Print jobs with large text fonts, graphics, charts, and/or large amount of solid coverage (black or any given color) will use much more toner and will shorten the life of the toner cartridge.
