It's a printer

Don't use a printer that much to get excited about. It prints clearly but after having used another brand for over 20 years I'm finding it difficult to figure this one out. Also the number of places that handle ink for it are extremely limited in my area.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fast print with great features

I have had this installed for a little more than 30 days and use it daily. A fairly light load of maybe 30-40 pages daily. Print quality is excellent including photos 4x6.
Speed is also excellent as it starts printing quickly and finishes quickly as well.

It will take a while to see how reliable it is, but we are off to a good start,

Does not provide confirmation of a PC fax

Generally happy with the machine. NOT happy about the PC fax program does not have the ability to provide confirmation that the PC fax was successfully sent. Brother programmers PLEASE CORRECT THIS ISSUE.

You get what you pay for

The printer prints nice, rather flimsy, but you get what you pay for. If you are looking for quiet or quick, look elsewhere.

Great Features

So far I am very pleased! No smearing and it appears that it's not consuming excessive amount of ink. The black and white text are clear and sharp. Color pages are good, but slightly off. Print speed is excellent. Have not tested photos at this time.

Meets my needs

I like the size of the printer, the print speed including almost instantaneous start, print quality and features. I especially like two sided copying although it lacks fully automatic two sided to two sided.

Easy to set up and use!

So far we really are liking our Brother printer, one downside I’ve noticed is the default setting to use best print quality and to get normal print quality on something you only need copied, for example, you have to go through steps to change paper, etc. if you use ink jet paper, it automatically chooses best print..
