Problems

I used to love Brother. This printer I do not like. Initially, it gave me lots of problems because it kept saying paper was jammed and paper was not jammed. I started putting in more paper and that problem seems to be resolved. However, it will not let me print when I am low or out of color cartridge print when all I need is black print and I have lots of it.. So I have to buy color print when I really don't need it. This really annoys me.

Once you run out of color ink, the Brother MFCJ895DW will allow you to print black and white under certain circumstances as long as the message displayed on the machine is "B&W Print Only - Replace Ink" . Great features and quality

Initial set up was easy for both in home printing and printing from mobile. Print quality and speed are very good. After the first month I did have an issue with losing it's network communication although it still showed as connected at both ends. This required going through the initial set up all over again. That's an irritant, but if it only happens once I can live with it.

Great little printer

We like it for small amounts of printing and great scanning. It does jam occasionally but not to often and it’s fairly simple to clear. At the price I think it’s unbeatable.
