Exactly what I needed

I was looking for a printer for my home office. This was exactly what I needed. Print quality is great - and cost-effective regarding the cost of the printer and the ink. Does print slower when printing in color but that doesn't bother me. Really happy with my purchase.

So Far So Good

Intuitive with all the right options. Great print quality. Definitely the perfect replacement for our 15 year old MFC440 that worked fine. It just didn't fully cooperate with Windows 10. The MFC895's looks, size and ease of use are not surprising. We hope to get another 15 years out of a Brother printer.

Great little printer, horrible scanner

The printer is very fast and does an excellent job for the average household. However even though the scanner is okay...there is no 2-sided scanning! Didn't find this out until after I received the printer and then had quite a bit of scanning to do. Being 2-sided meant I had to scan and the turn every page.

Ink is way to Expensive

I went through the first set of ink cartridges in just one month. My old printer (HP 8610) they lasted about 8 Months. There was only 6 gm of ink in the color cartridges and 9 gm of ink in the black cartridge. My 8610 had 27 gm for color Cartridges and 70 gm in the black cartridge.
