Perfect for home and small business

This printer works perfectly with my pc, mac laptop and chromebook. Easy to set up and print quality for documents and photos is excellent.

Great features for the price

Purchased to use in addition to my Brother 2270DW laser printer. Have used most of the features it offers and am satisfied. The fax report including a partial image of the actual fax is very nice. I've used it in normal and quiet mode and don't find either overly noisy. So far, so good and I haven't found anything not to like with this printer. This printer adds to two other Brother printers I use as well as an older Brother fax machine. Over time, it's been good for me moving to Brother equipment over other brands (some better than others) I've used over the years.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I especially like the compactness of the printer and the placement of the ink cartridges makes replacing them much easier! I also appreciate the lower cost of the replacement ink cartridges as I am on a fixed income and every penny counts!

Decent Copier For the Money

I've only been using the copier for one month but so far have been pleased with it. It prints very slowly but for the price I'm happy with it. Scanning is good as well. I am interested to see how much ink it uses.

Compact footprint, but sure is noisy.

Prints, copies seem to be fine. But this sure is one clunky, noisy machine. You think it is going to break down. Too soon to tell if it will be durable. Give it a couple of years and we'll find out.

Disappointing

Bought this printer five weeks ago to replace my old HP printer that finally wore out. I bought this printer because of Consumer Report's ratings. My old printer had better print quality, especially for photos and was much simpler to use. I particularly don't like the paper tray as it seem like a "Rube Goldberg" contraption and is very flimsy and difficult to use (compared to my old printer). This printer will not scan items to my computer via the USB cable although a customer service rep said that it should but was unable to help me fix this issue. I was not pleased with Brother's customer services either when I tried several times to get help setting it up. My impression is this printer was designed for Windows and Android devices and Apple OSX was an afterthought.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
