[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace my 12 year old Whirlpool Microwave. All in all it is a very good machine. It is definitely much quieter than my old model. The only thing I miss is the "quick one touch cooking" (my term). What I mean by that is if you want to cook something (say boil some water) for 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 mins you just needed to hit the appropriate number and the machine would cook for exactly that amount. This new model does NOT have that function. So to boil some water for 2 mins, instead of hitting the number 2 ( pressing only 1 button), you now have to press 5 buttons to get the same result.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Mine came with a new recently build house a year ago (May 25th did a year). Last Friday 2nd it stopped cooking, it turns on but it wont cook. After reading so many bad reviews I changed my mind from fixing it to just buying a different brand and staying away from whirlpool. Ill also notify the home building company regarding this brand, they shouldn't use it on new homes and screw new home owners.

worst appliance i ever bought. my wife and i are the only ones in the home, and the microwave is not used heavily. my wife put bowl of soup in to heat up for 2 minutes, she started smelling a bad odor and check the soup once timer stopped, not warm at all. my last microwave, a GE lasted 15 years and was still working when i replaced it wit this one. As they say, they don't make things like they use to!!!! read many reviews from people that have problems with this model. So, makes me frustrated off to pay good money for something that last just beyond the warranty. i bought it in June of 2018. So, now i am wondering about the other whirlpool products i bought. extremely disappointed. now i have to try and find something to match my other appliances, and spend another 300 plus dollars. DO NOT BUY THIS MICROWAVE.

Nice Replacement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace a Whirlpool Gold Series we had for 17 years. It finally gave out. This one is slightly larger at 1.9 cu. Ft. vs 1.7 cu. ft. and has all the features of our old oven plus some new ones. We have had it about a month now and it is working well.
Fit right in where we removed the old one. Only two minor glitches we don't like. Both having to do with lighting. The over range light is in the rear and the interior light is very dim. Our old one had the over range light up front for good illumination and the interior light was much brighter. Interior wise I think the big difference is the old one had a white lattice work in the glass and this one has a black lattice work.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Light is in the wrong place

I just installed our new over the range microwave. There were two problems. 1. Light light is located in the rear of the microwave. It lights up the back two burners on the stove, but two front burners are dark. Why in tar nations would you put a light way in back of the unit.
Our old unit had it in the middle so you see all burners which makes sense. 2. The light was so bad I put a LED light in place of the one it came with. The lighting is much better, but still dark on the front burners. Also after installing the LED I couldn't shut off the light. It goes from high to medium to low. There is no off. It stays on all the time. Other then that it is a good unit and it means just getting use to it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WE HAVE USED MICROWAVE FOR MANY YEARS. SHARP WITH ANALOG CONTROLS WAS OUR FIRST WELL OVER 45 YEARS AGO. LAST TWO WERE GE WE WILL NEVER GO THAT ROUTE AGAIN. THIS MICROWAVE HAS ANY FEATURES NEW TO US BUT WE ARE LEARNING AND IT WORKS GREAT. THE SUB MENUS ON ARE VERY GOOD AND WORK VERY WELL. LIT IS BU FAR WHILE OPERATING THE MOST SILENT WE HAVE EVER HAD. THE 3 SPEED RECIRCULATING FAN IS ALSO EVEN ON HIGH THE MOST SILENT WE HAVE HAD TO DATE. WE WILL DEFIANTLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE WHO MAY ASK.
