Best "defrost" ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave can with our new house. It is nice and big with an extra shelf to heat more items at the same time. My favorite feature is "defrost" - it will thaw meat without cooking the edges! Many other features are great, too.

Need more sound options.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am happy with my new microwave. It looks great (black stainless steel), has all the control button options I use (and more). It seems a bit more powerful than my previous microwave, so some timing adjustments are needed. One minor complaint is that the light that shines down on my stove cooktop is set rather far towards the back wall, so the light isn't that good for when I am cooking on the front two burners.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my new microwave. Only problem is that the signal/alarm for end of cooking or timer is not loud enough. I have ruined several dishes because I didn't hear the soft chime of timer ending. This is a replacement for an old Whirlpool Microwave (15 yrs) which had a nice loud beep which would repeat 3 times. Used that to time everything. Now I need to buy an extra timer. Not as convenient.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would have given It five stars based on performance as of owning it for only less than a month. However, in the first week, we noticed that there was a Problem with the keypad and not all of the functions operating properly. We contacted Whirlpool and had a technician come out to solve and the problem since it was still under warranty. Apparently the ribbon wire to the keypad was not installed properly or had come out during transportation/shipping. Not necessarily a dealbreaker, but it makes me question the quality control process at either the factory or the handling of the unit during shipping. We like the size, the features and the function and hope the unit continues to operate properly for years to come.
