Seems to work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this microwave for about 6 months now and it worked great until the magnetron connector caught on fire. It took about a week in a half to get it repaired, but has been working fine ever since it was repaired. Otherwise I haven’t had any other issues or problems. Seems like a nice microwave. Hopefully it keeps on working safely.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Jury is still out

Bought this model as a direct replacement to the one I had except its stainless steel instead of bisque. The reason we replaced the 20 year old microwave was because we can't get parts for it. There are a few items that we found we did not like.
The white characters on the keypad are not easy to read because they are dull even with the black background. Especially the clock/options and timer/set-off pads which are barely visible in bright kitchen light. I did not notice this in the showroom where it was displayed.
The User Guide leaves a lot to be desired. It came in a single fold out and there are no pictures as aides to operating instructions. They could have at least provided a picture of the keypad.
There is no grill or grate covering the exhaust vent for the recirculating fan. It's feasible something could fall down inside the microwave through the vent.
And even though the stainless finish is supposed to be finger print free the keypad is not. You can easily see print smudges on the face.
Since we just bought this microwave we have not had a chance to put it through its paces. So the jury is still out on the quality and capabilities of this microwave.

Good Size and Power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always had a counter top microwave. I was concerned that the under cabinet microwaves would not have enough space. This unit is perfect because it has a removeable shelf and you can have 2 layers of items cooking at once. It has several presets that you can use for defrosting, warm hold, pizza, etc. Very powerful and all for under 300 bucks.

Lost some features from last Whirlpool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced another whirlpool microwave, with 1-5 minute instant cooking. This microwave, although its look is nicer, it lost features that we liked. Not as convenient for quick cooking.
