[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a microwave. It does all the things: cook, reheat, defrost etc. Pros: This model has lots of specific buttons from which to choose. We use the "cook" (cook/time, cook/power), "reheat", "defrost", "popcorn", "+30 seconds", "soften/melt" and "timer" buttons frequently. We have never used the "potato", "vegetable", "frozen entrée", "steam/simmer", "warm/hold" (although I should have tried this one last night when dinner was not coming together as planned). You can also chose to turn off the turn table if you have a large dish. Cons: the ringer (when the food is done) is long and annoying. Yes, this is a small complaint, but it would be nice if there were ringers to choose from. The defrost button does not have a "meat" setting. Both of these are small and not deal breakers. Over all I am happy with this appliance after using it for 5 months and can recommend it.

Quality Microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are enjoying the features and performance except the for the dark control area which makes it hard to read the control settings, especially at night. It would be a huge asset if the controls were backgrounded by a light color.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave came with our newly constructed home and though most of the finishes/appliances here are very basic, this microwave seems to be excellent so far. It heats well, the popcorn button actually pops the whole bag of popcorn, and the size and look of the unit are both very nice. I haven’t yet used all the features, but I’m assuming they’ll work just fine for my family’s needs. I actually really like that the door has a strong closure, because many models I have checked out at our local appliance stores have had loose/weak closures which made them seem low quality. This Whirlpool seems pretty sturdy so far. I hope it stays this way for years and doesn’t lose it’s power or sturdiness.

A great microwave
