Replaced four times in 5 years……

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought our first whirlpool microwave approx. 5 yrs.ago. It lasted about a 1.5 yrs. And a switch in the closer broke. The 2nd one we purchased; exactly the same model…. The diaode went out so my husband took the one from our first microwave and changed it out….that lasted 3 days…the third microwave we put in, and when we took the cardboard from inside the doors off, we found that it was sent out from the manufacture with dents all the way across the top inside of the door. I know it came from the manufacturer like this because the box was in perfect shape…not one dent or smash corner. We picked up our fourth exact same microwave and put it in, so far the only problem we have encountered is that while I was heating my coffee, I also had the fan running because I was finishing up cooking on the stove below, well, apparently the fan does NOT turn off while the microwave is in use…hmmm… I wonder what is next. We would not continue to purchase this same microwave but it goes with the rest of our WHIRLPOOL appliances. We probably will not be buying WHIRLPOOL brands in the future. We find it to be of very poor quality…sorry to say.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
