Good microwave but not great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace a Maytag over the range microwave because it was the only one I found with the same wattage in the color I needed. However, I am somewhat disappointed that the fan only has 3 speeds and is really quite noisy compared to the Maytag when it was running properly. It cooks fine and looks good but is noisy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great microwave but no one-touch cooking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our old GE microwave gave up the ghost so we replaced it with this Whirlpool model. It has a large capacity and a satin interior finish. I'm not certain how the interior will hold up over time. The fingerprint resistant stainless steel has a nice look and does what it is supposed to do.
The included shelf is more of a nuisance than anything else. I presume it was included to add cooking capacity. The good thing is it is easy to remove.
There is only one light on the underside and it is in the far center rear of the microwave. It is too far back to really do any good as a lighting source over the range. The light has two settings. Two lights on each end or just the one with a higher lumen rating being placed more toward the center would have been better. The exhaust fan is strong and the noise level is acceptable.
Our old GE had one touch cooking; ie. you could press the 2 and the microwave would immediately start cooking for 2 minutes. This microwave does not have that feature and I really miss it. I thought this would be a standard feature on a microwave at this price point.
It is a powerful microwave and cooks well. The sensor features are a bit off. If you put popcorn in and don't watch you will end up with burned popcorn. It tends to cook it about 25 seconds too long. Likewise, on the reheat feature for a dinner plate it cooks it WAY too long. The end of cooking cycle/timer alarm isn't very loud.
I have rated the features as 1 star as the lighting is insufficient and the lack of one touch cooking is a huge omission at this price point. Otherwise, this is a great microwave.
