Beware top fan damper mounting location is wrong

Bought this and had fun installing where a 2006 Kenmore once occupied. After a few hours the test run happened. First thing I noticed was the fan damper on top of unit only opened about 25%. That's not good. Took unit back out and removed damper to see what UNITs problem was. Holes that are drilled in top plate of microwave are drilled too far forward. Had to drill 2 new holes that were located 18mm toward rear of microwave. ALL UNITS WITH THIS MODEL NUMBER HAVE THIS PROBLEM. To save time remove fan and drill holes so you can vacuum out the drill shavings. Then put it back together and install. Make sure you make the needed changed to the template for fan cutout. I would cutout 5/8" less for fan opening on the microwave front side of fan cutout. Once this modification is complete the fan damper will open all the way. Microwave does work well. No issues so far

I couldn’t be more happy, the black stainless is beautiful and easy to clean and the functionality is efficient and easy enough for my 4year old to use! Absolutely amazing product!

Great microwave for the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this after our previous whirlpool microwave died on us, after lasting for 14 years. I decided to buy this one because of the sensor technology, the ability to reheat food. It seems to work as expected however I find myself just using the 30 second button and guess most of the time out of habit. This one is quieter than our other microwave which is nice. Overall I am very happy with it.
