Very happy with this microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a replacement for a 19 year old Whirlpool over the range microwave. The cooking cavity is larger but the unit easily fit into the space of the older microwave. Since we were already using a Whirlpool microwave we found the controls to be similar and intuitive. No more beeps when done! We get a couple of repetitions of a four note tune. It is also not nagging on and on. Very happy with the purchase and would buy this again.

Decent microwave, poor light placement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seems like a decent microwave but they moved the light that shines down from underneath from the front (like in my old Whirlpool) to the rear but it doesn't illuminate the stove surface evenly plus it is hard to read the numbers around the dials, especially since the overhang of the unit blocks the kitchen lights from directly shining on the dials. I was told by the installer that they moved it back away from the heat and steam to prolong the life of the bulb. My old one never burnt out in 25 years so I think it was a poor decision, Whirlpool! It is not a deal breaker but it is frustrating so beware. Keypad is a bit sensitive so you have to press the numbers just so, and would nice if they were backlit too especially at night. Otherwise, fingerprint resistant SS finish is good and everything else seems good for a basic microwave. There is one cheaper but this has the upgraded interior plus the turntable on/off feature which some people may want. Maybe if I win the lottery I will replace it just to get a better light!

Beautiful and looks fabulous in my kitchen

We love having it over the range and it looks beautiful and the price was right. My only regret is that I didn’t read the technical specifications good enough and found that it isn’t as powerful as my little countertop model.
