Sensor Cooking and Bonus Night Light!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this over the range microwave for our new home. I love cooking and reheating in this microwave! So much better than the old one we left behind. The light under the microwave not only lights up the cooktop of my stove, but has the capability to be put on a built in timer. My husband gets up early in the morning while it is still dark out and the lighting is perfect while he grabs his first cup of coffee. Thank you Whirlpool!

The microwave does a great job for countertop only

The problem with this unit is the fan. It is installed over the range and is virtually useless. The smoke alarm, which is unhappily installed very near the range on the ceiling, goes off at the slightest amount of steam or smoke. Unfortunately, we have ordered a new overhead exhaust fan and will be replacing the microwave to a smaller counter top model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
