looks good just didnt last but 3 years

we brought this may 26 2018 the other night it did'nt shut off and burnt what was in it sense then when it is pugged up it smells like something is hot not safe too use

Great upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our old Whirlpool microwave started having issues with not turning off when the door was opened, and repair was not worth it, so we chose to purchase a new one. This microwave looks sharp and works great, especially the popcorn feature! Definitely recommend.

Decent Microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this as a housewarming gift for my new condo and it works as expected. Easy to use and has plenty of options. Only downside is the light is not that great for over the stove, but not a big deal for me because I have plenty of light in my kitchen.
The negative is that I registered it with Whirlpool and then started receiving the SAME EXACT email on a friday night, every hour for the past 4 days. Their support answer was to unsubscribe, which I had already tried and did not work. They need to fix their mass mailing campaigns because now any email from whirlpool will go to junk bc I got 80+ emails, the exact same email, 4 days in a row so far... and counting! :(

It works

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Plastic pieces on our previous Whirlpool convection oven microwave door broke off, and the control panel was no longer functional, so we picked up this model, since it has the same dimensions and installation as the previous one for an easy DIY swap. This one works fine and has the same functions as the previous one, but we immediately noticed that it's a cheaper model. The LED lights on the panel are a harsh blue, and the beep tones are horribly ping-y compared to the previous one we had. I didn't realize there was so much of a difference in the experience of the models, but I don't like this one. I immediately set up the eco-mode to turn off the blue LEDs after a few minutes of idle, so I don't have to see them. I hover by the microwave to open the door immediately when it ends so I don't have to hear the harsh sounds either.
Outside of the panel user experience, the microwave works well and the buttons function just like the previous one we had, which I appreciate. I expect to get a number of years of use out of this one, and the control panel isn’t in the door, so hopefully we don’t run into the same issue as the previous one.
Overall, when this one goes, we'll research the next model up, because the user experience of beeps and lights is really awful, but we expect this to last a number of years. Maybe by then, we won’t mind as much, but after a month, we’re still not sold on this one’s control panel experience.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
