A Gem!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this with a whole set of Whirlpool kitchen appliances, and it's been wonderful minus one issue. On the positive side first, we love how tall, wide, and deep it is. After years of apartment living with small capacity/wattage microwaves we moved from place to place, this one finally fits (and has room to move) all our plates and cooks food much quicker. There are great features like being able to turn off the sound - a bonus so the beep noise doesn't wake the little one and makes the microwave virtually silent to operate at all times. On the down side, the undermount light burned out after only about 6 months of use, which seemed pretty lame. We replaced the bulb and apparently all they sell these days are LED bulbs which are too strong for the high-low-off function, so the light actually stays on at a low light continuously now. Not a major issue, but an annoyance we'd rather live without. Love the main functions and style, though! The dark stainless look with modern clean lines is very beautiful in our home!

Feels well built, easy to use, and pleasant sounds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Whirlpool model over several others based on good quality reviews, the venting options, and the layout and function of the buttons. I love the fact that I can walk up to the microwave and type in any number of seconds and hit the start button and it is off an running. So, many other brands do not allow this. Plus, there are many other single button and intuitive functions to use. Great interface. Easy to clean. Feels sturdy and well built. And the sounds that it makes when your food is ready is pleasant. We are very happy with our choice.
