Solid Appliance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just installed this, so I can't speak to the durability of this microwave, but here are some first impressions.
1) The installation was a bit tricky for me, since it is an inch longer vertically, and that meant that I had to drill through splash tiles to install the lower mounting bar. f you're planning to do that, get drills designed for that work; standard masonry bits won't cut through that.
2) It's nice that you can change the various sounds (keypress beep, finished beep, etc.) but the actual options seem a bit lacking. E.g., I'd like the key press to beep for audio feedback, but stop or change the "finished" beep. Sadly, they are paired. Minor problem.
3) I'm used to having 6 cooking presets, so that, e.g., when you press 1, it's a minute, 2, is two minutes, up to six. The only button that operates that way is the "Add 30 Secconds" button.
4) I really like the fan which seems both quieter and strong than the one on our last unit, a GE.
5) Nice to have the extra power, 1000 watts, vs. 925W
6) It's good-looking in our kitchen.
