Perfect Microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using microwaves since the first mobsters came out in the 70s and have had a series of Whirlpools. This is the best one yet. It looks nice and works well. The interior is so nice. The automatic popcorn feature is so smart. The timer sound so pleasant. The only thing that still needs updating is the noise the door makes when shutting it. Can you please make a silent shutting door?

Very nice looking unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was part of a new house build. We preferred a counter top unit, and a range hood instead. The controls were not intuitive, but we were used to a counter top unit of a different brand that we had at our old house.

Good but not great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago after my 14 year old Whirlpool over the stove microwave died. I was so please with the performance that I bought another one. I upgraded to a more expensive model with sensor cooking. However, what I found there was no express cooking function. Then when I used it, the steam or smoke on the inside would bellow out and there was no vent to pull it out on the inside during cooking. Then using the fan function over the cooktop did not pull up the smoke as good as my old one and filled the air of the kitchen instead. We called Whirlpool and they were very helpful and nice and sent a service person to our house to check it out. Unfortunately the microwave works as it was designed and the newer models are not as quality as the older models were. As a loyal Whirlpool appliance customer, I am disappointed that quality is not top priority as it used to be. I have been told not to expect 14 years of quality, but if I am lucky maybe 5 years of lower quality. My suggestion is not buy an upgraded model as I did but spend much less and get a basic model and save your money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
