[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The black stainless steel is absolutely stunning! I was worried about fingerprints, but there are few, and very easy to clean. The appliance is bigger than what we’ve ever had, perfect size!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installed 10 days ago, after waiting two weeks from purchase. Use daily. Works as advertised. Does have very useful features such as use alone fan, food sensor, etc. Also looks very nice with matching stove. At this point would recommend. However, very easy to install and if you have 1 or 2 others to help, only takes 15 minutes, not counting adding outside venting, and save some money.
I would recommend this to a friend!

More flexibility in choices of functionality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our previous Whirlpool microwave (which has served us well for the past 12 years), died in early May. We purchased the above noted "Whirlpool" microwave as a replacement and love its appearance, ease of use and improved functionality. Additionally, we chose the "finger print resistant" stainless; and, will replace with same as needed.

Solid build, pleasant 'personality'

Pro: 1. Nice looking 2. Solid build 3. Features...sensor cooking and defrosting that actually works, easy clean interior, interior rack for two level cooking, standard features. 4. Affordable price 5. Great reputation for reliability 6. Has an oddly pleasant 'personality'
Con: 1. While affordable should have more power at this price 2. Availability...Had to wait a month for it.
Some background:
We had a Whirlpool made product (off-brand) for 17 years (!) before it became unusable (but kept warming food). We replaced it with another brand, which had really nice features. That (other brand) Microwave stopped working just before the warranty was up, they fixed it. It stopped working again in 4 months and they fixed it again...acting like they were doing me a favor.
It takes nearly a month to get the repairs done...we just couldn't go with out a microwave for a month again so I started shopping.
When I looked up reviews of microwaves, it turns out Whirlpool has a reputation of being the most reliable microwave made. So I bought this one.
It has a solid build and feels like it will last well, maybe outlasting our last Whirlpool!?!
It isn't the most expensive microwave, but it comes with some great features! I especially like the interior as it is extremely easy to clean. As for operating features, I didn't realize it, but the other microwave has sensor cook and defrost that didn't work properly...I just thought sensor cook was 'BS' (burned stuff) and auto defrost was 'CS' (cooked stuff) but I tried them on the Whirlpool and I'll be darned but it worked perfectly!
And finally (on the positives), this thing has personality. I am not one to anthropomorphize, but we wound up naming this microwave because the cooking/timer alarm has a little sing-song tune to it that sounds like it is singing 'Tina-Louise'. I know, silly, but it has caught on in our house and now the microwave has been named 'Tina'.
On the negative side, for two level cooking it is a bit squat and I am not sure how much value the rack adds...but it might. For the price I would think it would have more power...though it does fine cooking everything we cook. And finally, I wound up waiting a month for the thing to arrive...kind of defeating why I went and bought it. But what the heck, at least I feel fairly certain I won't be with-out a microwave for a while!

Conclusion: Overall very positive! Although I would like the features and build the microwave a step better than this one has, I just have a hard time justifying that kind of money for this appliance. So I am happy!
