[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the microwave to replace a GE over the stove microwave that was about 18 years old. The GE burned out the tube. This new microwave has many features that I am getting used to using. Mostly I just use my guess on the time and temperature needed.

HOPING FOR THE BEST IN TERMS OF RELIABILITY

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I previously had a KitchenAid 2.0 cu.ft. microwave. I was completely satisfied with it's features and performance until I started having intermittent problems where it became unreliable and would go for many periods of time where it wouldn't function at all. This led to a lot of cooking problems and mealtime decisions because I couldn't depend on it for meal planning. I found that my particular problem was not an isolated case and seemed to be a common problem for these units. I reached out to your repair teams and found the cost would be such that I was better off to just buy a new one. I have had the Whirlpool for just a little over a month now. It has nice features, is dependable, and works as expected. I have also seen my intermittent problem described on the Whirlpool devices and since KitchenAid is a spin off Whirlpool with the same design, you can expect the same problems. The main problem seems to be with the design of the door switches that are not reliable. I'm happy with my new product, but not totally confident that this same problem, with time, could surface again. I'm hoping that it doesn't and that you have improved the design components so that this does not happen again.

love the sensor cooking
