Disappointing

This one year old microwave made a loud roaring noise followed by a strong burning smell one morning. We unplugged it. We decided to purchase a replacement unit since we didn't want to pay for a service call. We ended up buying a 5 year extended warranty. The appliance store said they weren't surprised by its short life.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Potential fire hazard.

Bought one in July 2023. Manufactures in May 2023. The bottom light bulb to light up the stove burnt out in a few months after not being able to turn it off. Went to take the light bulb out and the glass separated from the bulb base and got buzzed with 120v from trying to take the bulb base out. Obviously got too hot and fried whatever adhesive was there. Looked online for a replacement bulb and found many reviews with the same situation. How have I not received any recall for this? This is dangerous.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The product did not work

Horrible so far

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only had this installed for 2 weeks and it does not heat anything. I have requested a tech through whirlpool and they said they would get ahold of me within 3 business days and it has now been 6 business days and I have not heard a word.

Do not buy this

Do not buy this if you want a fan that will draw steam from your stove top. Although advertised as a microwave/hood combo - it does not function as a hood. This unit is very disappointing - almost as disappointing as the treatment I received from Whirlpool Customer Service. I purchased this to replace a 20 year old WP unit - this one is no where near the quality or functioning of my old unit.
