I've had my phone since April 2018, was very happy with it for a while. Got the new Android pie update in February and that happiness flew out the window. I left apple for Android because of its customization abilities and industrial style look. Then this update dropped. I literally feel like I'm back with apple. I don't know who exactly to complain to but this needs to get fixed or I'm finding another phone and software.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fabulous new S9

I am falling in love with my new S9. Beautiful display fast and responsive. I got the lilac and its really fantastic in appearance. The view-thru case is a real plus as well. Samsung made the linking and transfer of my old materials on the S6 easy and complete. It charges fast even in the US.
My only issues were FED-EX delivered it to the wrong address so it took me 5 hours to find it after it was delivered. And the wrong SIM card was included. Thanks Samsung, this is a beautiful device!

I have had this phone for 4 months, and it has recently started booting me back to the home screen while watching videos. While playing music over bluetooth audio will cut out periodically. Voice to text software is way behind my old s7, messes up everything when it doesnt say "voice input unavailable." Not a good experience and in the future I will not be buying any samsung phones

Ok phone, HORRIBLE CAMERA

The phone itself works good for phone calling and receiving texts. The internet is good as well. The "Bixby" button ruins my day sometimes as I'm constantly hitting it accidentally when trying to take a screenshot.
That being said, the camera on this thing is the absolute WORST THING I HAVE EVER TRIED TO USE. If you take a picture of an inanimate object outside in the sun they turn out great. Indoor pictures are horrific. They look like something a toddler camera would produce or worse. NEVER try and take a picture of something living, the shutter is SO SLOW that if the subject moves in the smallest slowest way it will blur and look repulsive. I'm so beyond frustrated with the camera. I've looked up videos and read the manual to try and fix my problems with no luck.
Bottom line, only buy this phone if you are NEVER planning on using the camera on anything besides inanimate and well lit subjects .

I've tried multiple phones...iphone 7 plus, note 8, etc...all were too big to be functional. This phone has everything those phones do but in a smaller package. Bold, beautiful screen...plenty of power and battery...but fits in your hand great. It's thin and light. Awesome job Samsung!!!

Excellent smartphone

I needed to upgrade when my galaxy s5 had a charging port problem after owning it for 2.5 years. I found that Best Buy had a sale and decided to stay with galaxy. I love this phone! While it was an easy transition from the s5, I love the new features such as the themes to customize your background/lockscreen. The battery life is very good. I keep my phone in a wallet case and I feel this gives it enough protection. I love the infinity screen and the camera features. Recently, I learned that the shutter button can be dragged to a different location on the screen. Bixby can be disabled so if you're not interested in using this feature (like myself) . There are a few YouTube videos that can show you hidden features on the s9 and s9+.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fastest smartphone on the planet and maybe the smartest also.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, Built-in speakers
Cons: keyboard has issues on edge of the screen
