Great phone

Got my Galaxy S9, and like every time Samsung did a great job. Pretty much happy with this phone until now. Apparently I missed the offer of free Gearfit pro2 because I bought my phone a couple of days earlier before this offer started. Otherwise a great phone!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got this phone a few months ago after my Note 5 stopped working. I was nervous because I love my Note so much but I love this phone just as much! Battery life is amazing, the pictures are so clear. I love it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Screen cracking by itself

This phone works great, but first its screen cracked on left curved edge and now has started on the right curved edge. I have kept the phone well protected in case and with screen protector and still this has made me feel that the money has been wasted. I am planning to open a query on Facebook to see how many others have had the same experience. Thanks.

Unfortunate, disappointing.... and annoying

I purchased this device for an additional line, and picked it because of a promotion. By the specifications it looked like a quality device that I would like in place of my S5, however I would learn that I would be greatly disappointed. The obnoxious features "baked in" to the phone are annoying, irritating and can not be disabled, rendering the experience anger inducing. I do not want to "Try sharing my profile"...ever. This can not be made to go away from the top of your contacts list. So it's permanently at the top, and if you accidentally hit it, you are taken away from your contacts list to an ever annoying sign up screen. The inability to disable the "Bixby" button is rage inducing, and makes my want to throw a brand new, shiny, expensive device across the room. It is a built in, permanent annoyance. The other features of the device seem like they would be nice, if it wasn't ruined by the intrusive, constant want for the device to "share", thinking that it is smarter than the operator. I would like to see if the other features are nice, like the camera etc., but I'm just put off by the whole experience. I'm tempted to eat the restocking fees and costs of setting up another device, just so I won't have to deal with this irritating, irremovable annoyance, just to have a phone that does what "I" want it to do. Put all that on top of the inability to change out the battery, a silly curved edge screen that makes pictures and video look bad, and all glass construction and you get...disappointment.

Read this before buying

The only way i can review this phone is to compare it to previous phones Ive owned, and how they worked with the current technology. This phone is OK. Not much different than the 8, or the 6. The 5 I thought was pretty good. I also owned a Note 3 that I loved. But theres just one problem Ive found with the 9...
The speaker phone sucks. And unfortunately for me, I use the speaker phone a lot. Im on my 3rd S9, and I'm about ready to sell this one for what I can get and never use another one of these again. Also, I am very surprised that the reviews of this thing are as high as they are, and nobody mentions this issue.
I guarantee If anyone that reads this goes on Reddit, where the real reviews are, they will find hundreds of reviews of the S9 regarding the bad speaker phone, which, btw, still has not been remedied by Samsung. I wouldn't recommend this phone to anyone I liked.

Neat phone bad battery/& or software

Yes I received a s9 as part of the presidential initiative acp etc... tgis phone appears to be new when I receive it very sleek and stylish all glass and fragile looks good. So far in my experience of about 3 weeks the battery drains fast and gets very hot. Just now my battery drained to 5% I plugged it in and it immediately then went down to 4% then mystically restarted itself without my doing and booted back up to display 18% battery. Im not really too familiar with the physics but I was under the impression that glass is a coolant why is it getting so hot etcetera. Must be the software thnx I do like the phone though

If you purchase this phone unlocked and plan to use it on Verizon, you will lose some key features.
1. No native video calling.
2. No Verizon Visual Voicemail.
3. Wifi calling.
Wish I had know this before I bought it...
Cons: Did not meet expectations, no wifi

Nice but needs work.

Just upgraded from S6 after 2 years due to performance issues.
Pros:
Awesome camera with cool features even in the dark!
Size is similar to S6 so not wide.
Usage of full screen is great esp for watching videos.
Like the pull down options menu and the pull up apps menu
Voice recognition works perfectly for me, especially in my texting app.
Battery life is as expected for my usage. No better or worse than the S6.
Speaker and microphone are top notch. Callers don't even know they're on speaker phone until they hear background noise.
Charging cable plugs in the first time, every time.
Like the edge tab. Very convenient.
Was easy to transfer ALL my data and settings to new phone with included adapter.
Can increase storage space with optional sd card. S6 didn't have that option.
More settings to turn things on and off. I can turn off almost everything I don't like.
Cons:
Wasn't happy about buying all new charging cables but I had to buy a new case too so I guess it comes with upgrading. Didn't cost enough to complain about really but still a con.
Hate the curved screen. Makes me want my S6 back! I hate it because pressing on a link, letter, box and so forth is difficult if it is too close to the curve. You have to manipulate the screen or turn your phone sideways to succeed. I cant exit my pop up texts easily because of this design flaw. It "complicates" things. For me, this is its major downfall. (4 star vs 5)
The onscreen apps, home key, back button menu takes getting used to. I'm still not used to it. I've almost accidentally deleted emails or pictures because the back button is conveniently located directly under the delete button in both of these apps. Both are Samsung apps.
Haven't used the iris scanner or finger print scanner.
Bixby is a pain. I don't need nor do I want all the reminders and hints. Is there a way to uninstall it? I like to do things myself.
Overall, Awesome phone. I'm still finding cool things it does after almost a month.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Durable, Lightweight, Built-in speakers
Cons: curved screen
I would recommend this to a friend!
