didnt really love this phone

i had this phone for about 7 months, The picture quality is not as good as i thought it be. the camera is slow. Bixby was always popping up and there was no way that i could fine to disable it. It was always asking to update and after it would run slower. For my self the phone was a bit small and the curves on the side always got change something on the phone if you verily touched them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

samsung provides a solid, stable experience in a phone that’ll fit the needs of most buyers.
i’ve never used a phone so responsive and fast. i’ve owned the s9 for over two years now and it’s had no hiccups.
i have heard a lot of people mention that samsungs constantly giving update notifications and out of space, but i have yet to run into either of these problems.
the only real critique i have is the same one i had for the previous model, that you need to go out and get both a case and screen protector asap unless your hands are made of suction cups.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This phone has auto changing wallpaper that cannot be disabled so your photos have to be saved everyday and the feature kills the battery life. So unbelievably frustrating!!!!!! I will go to iPhone for my next phone. Never heard a single person complain about iPhones other than having to deal with the Stupid bar for service.

If you are looking for a phone with no notch & microSD & a headphone jack this currently the best there is.
pros: microSD storage expansion, water-resistant, has a headphone jack, one of the best cameras, stunning display and design (black model is like a pure onyx bar).
Lots of customization through theme engine, and with the exception of Bixby all the extra Samsung software is great (such as swiping from the edge to bring up favorite contacts and apps).

cons: probably more fragile than normal phones due to (curved) edge display.

Bluetooth 5.0

None of my Bluetooth devices that paired with my S7 will pair with the S9. It seems the new 5.0 Bluetooth technology refuses to connect with Bluetooth 4.1. Samsung needs to put out an update to correct this situation. I have remote speakers, Samsung headset and Home Theater that are useless at this time. Had I known, I would have kept my S7. Buyer beware.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, not compatable with bluetooth 4.1

Custom Text Notifications

Love the phone...EXCEPT I really really need Samsung to bring the custom text notifications to be brought back. This is like 50 steps backwards in cell phone industry. Why would this feature be taken away...Samsung....give us this feature back.....STAT!!!!!!!!!!
