Great phone, but Android Pie makes it boot slower

Phone had been working flawlessly, then came the mandatory android pie update. As the phone was working fine no reason to update other than to get rid of the nag screens. Noticed no significant improvements after the update, at least for me, and the phone takes longer to boot up. Interface has more a cartoonish look to it and features have been removed from task manager. Battery life is no better either. If fact, overall the phone seems a bit slower overall. Android Pie is highly overrated. Would have given the phone 5 across the board prior to android pie update
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Front camera cropped, can't take a decent picture

Originally I probably would've given it 5 stars but after the last update the front camera crops all pictures. You can't even tell until after you've taken it. It's horrible and selfies are almost impossible now. It literally ruined this whole phone. I'm so mad I wasted so much money on this phone that I can't even take a good picture with. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE phone!!! I will NEVER buy Samsung again!!!!!!!!!!

SO LOOKING FORWARD TO GETTING ONE OF THE BEST HAND

We got our phones in early May. They were awesome. A couple of days later we recieved an update from Samsung (that APR 1st update). Our phones began roaming, the "pending email" icon is stuck, most of our app notification updates popup but don't make a sound. I'm thinking of returning them and try to find something more suited to our needs.

I've had nothing but problems with phone calls

I've had this phone for less than a year and have had so many issues with making a phone call, or receiving a call. People cannot hear me speaking. I've been through countless self helps for this issue and none fix the problem for good, I'll go a few days and then the problem will resurface. I'm now trying a factory reset, and guess what the S9 seems to have issues with that too. Worst phone I've ever had, who cares about a camera is making and receiving a phone call is so darned hard? It is a phone after all.

Good phone, very poor software update policy

Bought this phone about a month back. Fast and responsive so far, camera takes good pictures, though not at Pixel level. The biggest drawback however is Samsung's security update policy (or lack of it). This phone is still on Jan-2019 patch level with no ETA provided for when an update will eventually come out. It is a shame that Samsung leaves their unlocked flagship phone without a security update for 8 months and counting.

I would not suggest this phone to anyone. Worse phone iv ever had. Problems all the time. Rings when no one calls or don't ring when I get calls. Had to have 3 sim cards befor it would work this bad.

Not charging issues

The phone worked well when it wanted. The phone went into a quick discharge and would not charge with no error. Once the battery was exhausted I tried rebooting and charging but it would tell me moisture was present, after that there was no way to recover the phone. Unreliable
