How to adjust font size in text..
on June 5, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far we have been quite pleased with this product. It's helped us a bunch with our 9 year old when we drop her off for dance, at friend's or family's. When she's ready to be picked up she just calls or texts. The only issue at this point has been trying to figure out how to increase font size in texting. Currently, the text size is tiny and you have to really look to make sure no error. If anyone knows how to fix that please let me know. Thanks.
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings, easy to use

Love it except for wristband buckle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the device, works great for my child, but the shaft on the buckle on the wristband snapped after 3 1/2 months. And it was not worn every day. Buckle should be metal, not plastic.

Perfect for Millenial Kids

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The target audience for this phone is primary schoolers, but Millenial kids are quite capable of using this product. LG...2 additions would make this product perfect for pre-K and above.
1) Text messages should be able to be read out. Like when I put my Android phone in hands free mode. Then pre-readers could still get a text.
2) The ability to record a voice message is awesome. However, the caregiver should also have this feature.
This phone is awesome. It gives a level of safety. Kids are involved in sports, go to amusement parks and can be lost in a crowd. This gives even the small to the ability to call mom or dad and say their lost. Please never underestimate today's 4 year old. Or even a 2 year old. They can operate a tablet better than any of us.
I really hope you work on these things that myself and other parents suggested. I know you finally changed the names on the contact list based on feedback.
Great Product LG. Just needs a tweak.

Love!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I highly recommended this watch. I do think the size is a little large on small arms but still worth it! The reminders, auto answer and trackers are nice. It lets parents control when it can be silent or audible, which is a bonus. I also like the fact only pre-approved numbers can call it or message.
Pros: Features/Settings, Quality, easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this watch for my 8 year old. The tracking and communication features are great. We wish it had a few more apps such as Alarm, Temperature (weather). Also the fitness tracker is not very accurate.
Pros: Features/Settings, easy to use

The jury is still out

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got two of these Gizmos for my kids. I loved the idea of the phone and am hopeful that it works as we intend it. However, there are two major problems so far: First and foremost, the fact that the phone can’t be turned on by the app is a HUGE design flaw. How will the caregiver find the kid if they (or somebody else) turned the Gizmo off? Second, the app has a few bugs- I continue to make changes to the app that reflect on the Gizmo but disappear from the app. Like if I add a contact, it shows up on the Gizmo but not on the app- if I were to want to delete the contact, how would I do it?

Perfect for Staying in Touch
on January 10, 2018

We bought this for our 8-year old son as a way for him to stay in touch with us in the absence of a landline. We only use cellular phones, so when he is home alone, he previously had no way to contact us. But we didn't want him to have a full SmartPhone for cost reasons and because we only needed limited functionality for him.
We have owned the watch for 4+ months now and it has worked perfectly. My son loves to wear it, understood intuitively how to use it, and appreciates that he can customize the look and sounds on it. He also uses the activity tracker every day. We set a Daily Goal in Gizmo app so that each day my son can see how many steps he has done. The watch does reset to 0 steps the next morning, so I have no idea why other reviewers say it doesn't.
The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is I do wish texting was performed through native Android or iPhone messaging apps. The Gizmo app slows down texting ability and the 30-character limit is annoying.
I rarely use this to track my son's location, so I have no comment on that feature. I would find this most useful in an emergency situation.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It wouldn't be hard for LG to upgrade the software that runs the phones, but I love the peace of mind that we get with our kids having these watches. It gives them some independence and responsibility and let's us keep track of them at all times.
