[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seriously upset that only the primary caregiver(person who set up account initially)can control parameter settings and see step counts and probably other features I am not aware of. Would like contacts to be able to send and recieve text messages. Battery seems ok, definately must be charged every night. Watch face is a little large for an 8 yr old girls arm and the entire screen isn't even utilized but she doesn't seem to mind. Absolutely worth the money for the piece of mind it provides, she loves having text and calling capabilities!
Pros: easy to use

We bought one for each of our sons (ages 9 and 10) so that they would have a way to contact us (and we them) while they are out playing with their friends in our neighborhood. They are too young for a smart phone, and we wanted something that would be on their wrist - less likely to get lost. The maps feature is great - we can track their location at any time! Last week, my son was left behind on a school field trip, and he was able to call us from his watch, which enabled us to call the school and the staff on the field trip to be able to locate him! This device paid for itself that day. Peace of mind!

Great beginners!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I love the watch. Only noticed a few things that need to be improved upon. First off there needs to be a large band option. My daughter is 12 and its on the last spot. Hopefully her wrist won't grow much!
Second there needs to be an option to shut off calls after a certain time. Its great to be able to silence the phone but calls can still be made.
Last would be great if texting could be done phone to watch, rather than having those on the list needing to install the app.
In the invite it would be great if you could add the number so those you send it to know your new number.
So far love everything else, great beginner option for kids that is inexpensive.

Please add control to primary for who can view GPS

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these for my 8 & 9 year old kids, and overall they are fantastic! I'm really happy with them, and happy with the app. My one request, LG, please create the ability for the primary caregiver to control who can access GPS. I want our family friends and cousins and grandparents to be able to be listed as caregivers and send and receive text messages, but I do not want everyone to have access to their location 24/7. If you could make that adjustment, i would definitely give it 5 stars! Thanks for making a great product for kids who are ready for more responsibility/freedom, but not ready for a full smart phone and internet, and all that entails. Thank you!

Great product for 5 yr old

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this product. Finally a GPS device that is decently priced and is really accurate on locating! I love all the "controls" on it and that it can be silenced during school hours. Since she can't read yet, I love that it has emoji's that she can use to tell us how she's doing as well. We gave our daughter "rules" for how she uses it so as not to see it as a toy (that's good parenting and should apply to any electronic item you allow your kids to use...). Nowadays, unfortunately, we have to keep closer tabs on our kids from the bad eggs out there. This is the perfect product for that. Plus I added it onto my cell phone plan at no add'l cost along with the the $5 month loss/damage insurance (she IS 5) so a no-brainer. Best GPs for kids on market!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son has had the gizmo pal (basic features) and the band broke. Since the watch itself is very useful I purchased the gizmo gadget as it has more features. Texting, more contact options & a fitness tracker was definitely a reason to upgrade even though the more expensive model has the same band. Unfortunately, that band broke too. I am very displeased at the quality of the band/clasps as there is no reasonably priced replacement or generic band option from another vendor.

Great for piece of mind!

I feel so much better about being able to be in touch with them when they're out playing, or walking home from school, leaving them messages to let them know when to come home, setting alarms for when to wake up, finding where they are in the neighborhood. This is just enough to let them have some independence without me freaking out and still be able to keep tabs on them, as I feel they're too young for a phone
My son's watch band did break, but my girls' watches are totally fine. I agree the bands could be more durable.

Horrible do not buy!!!

We bought these for our kids for safety. Unable to locate, software extremely glitchy. Bands don’t hold up and now we can’t buy a replacement. Overall, extremely dissatisfied.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
