[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m primarily a business user. Up until now, my go-to unit has been a Dell Lattitude. The latitudes have always worked well for me, but after seeing the X1 Carbon at my local box store, I wanted to give one a try.
The X1 is fast, and the keyboard is absolutely wonderful. I’ve heard the Lenovo ThinkPad Keyboards were good, but I feel it is the best typing experience I’ve had to date.
Clean minimalist design...I like that. The X1 is extremely portable...Super light.
I’m still testing everything out, and am looking forward to see how long I can go between charges.
Overall, my first impressions have been nothing but Wow.
This is my first ThinkPad, and I expect that when it’s time to upgrade again, I’ll get another.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this laptop for a bit of time and Lenovo has truly improved the performance of their machines. I run dual monitors and there seems to be no lag in performance. With how many programs and apps I run simultaneously, I would think it would slow down... not the case. I'm pleased with this machine and would recommend this for any other business professional.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use it for work and normally I don't use windows because I've gotten used to working in Linux. Windows is slow to boot and shut down, and it's an exploit target. Windows pops on the X1. I can be working in a Debian container with Docker in a few seconds. The other thing I like is the battery lasts all day. Other than the fact that Lenovo had the warranty starting back in November of 2018 and I just bought this at Costco 5 days ago, so I already had to open a support case, I am happy with my purchase.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with my first Thinkpad Purchase (X1 Carbon 6th Gen). It is extremely light and the HD 2k Screen is really good for watching movies. It can get really bright.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My product came with some issue with the Thunderbolt Controller. After several days of troubleshooting, the only solution was to send the product back to service the board. Though the return process is simple, it is still an annoyance that I will be without my laptop for a week. If it weren't for that, I would rate the laptop very highly. Hard for me to say if manufacturer defects are common or I got unlucky. I will give Lenovo the benefit and still recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m really happy with this purchase. I had fully intended to get the new Dell XPS 13, which had great reviews from the tech folks but an uneven ones on the website. The ThinkPad seems the better choice for me. I travel a lot and cycle with my laptop everywhere, and I wanted something that would be durable. I love the feel of the keyboard though I’m still getting used to clicking the trackpad. The battery lasts forever and the fan is not annoyingly loud. Only small complaint is that I feel that it could be brighter, but I only noticed as if I am next to a sunny window. Because I’m smitten with it overall I am willing to be OK with this
