Super fast startup and shutdown. Face recognition login is something I didn't think I needed, but what a great feature. You can easily just close the screen down to lock the machine and that blanks out any external monitors and when you open it back up, it checks for your face to automatically unlock, even worked with my glasses on. I had to buy an adapter to use dual screens which is typical these days, but other than that the machine performs perfectly with the external displays all controlled through the single thunderbolt port. I have to say I was all about the Lenovo keyboard which was a huge point driving my decision to purchase an X1, but it did take me a while to transaition from my Microsoft surface keyboard that felt so comfortable to me. I just had to get used it...it takes a beating and I found that my typing was too soft having been used to the surface keyboard and I had to get back into the habit of really hitting the keys. I still had to deal with some bloatware and pop ups when first using the machine which is one of my peeves with windows machines so it was something I expected anyway. 90% of my work is in the cloud through browsers and remote desktop so I don't have much to say in terms of performance of the actual machine, but I haven't experienced any issues.
nice light powerful laptop. Great high end display. eccellent carry around machine when you want more capabities than a tablet, but don't want to lug a big 17 incher or move around workstations.
Overall Excellent so far. got the regular screen and its very bright and clear. Used to have a mac book pro and prefer this now. Screen size is perfect for a portable pc. Love the keyboard and the extra keys.
Only complaint is the touch pad which can be a little slow. May need to upgrade a driver.
Great computer for administrative processing. Runs investment software well and has all the performance you can need in something on the road. Great for the money - awesome piece of equipment!
