[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i got this laptop a week ago, but i already love it. the only problem was that it was over heating whenever i open it even if im barley doing anything on it. but i looked it up and it said that i should download a thermal drive from lenovo, end ever since it didn't over heat. but it would be better if it came with this drive installed already
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this around a month ago, it cost nearly 3 times more than the Dell I bought less than a year ago but I am very happy with the Thinkpad. It is more of an intuitive feel, like there is no lagging generally, it is a fast machine, gives me a smooth feel etc. The missing one star is because, it sometimes hang and like I like to open up many Windows Explorer at the same time, sometimes all of the Windows can close up and I need to re-open them again. And once in a while the machines sorts of make a humming sound and feels warm and lag and i have to restart it to solve the problem. Not sure if it is Windows problem or the laptop problem.
But overall - yes - it is very light, I feel that I got a great machine, great toy - more of the feel.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been a Thinkpad user for more than 10 years & recently upgraded from a T to an X1. So far I'm impressed by the X1 -- light weighted and elegant design, running smoothly and fast, long battery life, very comfortable keyboard and monitor. Love it!

Lenovo appreciates you taking the time to share your comments and concerns with our ThinkPad X1 Carbon 6th Generation! A static discharge can attempt to resolve this problem, and below are some instructions on how to perform this:
1. Turn the unit off 2. Remove the battery and the Mains adapter 3. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds 4. Replace the battery and the Mains adapter 5. Turn the unit on as normal
If this doesn't work then, you should see a One Key Recovery (NOVO) button on your machine, normally located near the power button or charger socket. With the machine turned off, use a paperclip to press this button and the unit will give you option to be able to factory reset. PLEASE NOTE: that this WILL delete all files and programs stored on your machine. If the issue persists, please contact our Technical Support team at https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/ for further assistance. Please let us know if this helps! Thanks for choosing Lenovo!
My previous computer's hard drive went bad and little did I know that the hard drive in it could not be replaced alone. Therefore, repair would cost more than it was worth. A friend that works on computers highly recommended this computer, I got one and love it. The only thing I have had to adjust to is that it does not have a touch screen. However, I had to learn to use a touch screen and am adjusting to the change. No biggie! I feel secure with the Think Pad by knowing it can be repaired should I have problems.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought for my personal and work experience. Got it a day earlier than initially identified (always a treat) and easy to set up (not terribly technical) and runs like a deer. Very happy
