[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only been using this laptop for about a week, but so far I love it. It's so lightweight that it almost feels like a toy, but its build is robust and it has all the ports I need. The keyboard feels great too and I'm excited to type on this thing in grad school.
I'm transitioning over to the ThinkPad X1 Carbon from a MacBook Pro (2012 edition) and the improvements are noticeable. The overall speed is much much better, and this can probably be attributed to the shift from hard drive (MacBook) to the SSD in the X1 Carbon. The keyboard is also nicer in my opinion, as are the available ports and weight as I mentioned before. I don't see much of a difference in video or audio quality between the two laptops, which I'm happy about because the MacBook was solid in these departments.
I know many ThinkPad lovers adore the all-black look, but I personally bought the silver version because I wanted to avoid smudges. I now believe I made the right decision because it still looks super sleek and maintains the overall look I was going for, all without the presence of annoying little smudges from touching the laptop. I also got the touch screen version and so far I'm enjoying it. While I likely won't use this feature for anything school-related, having a touch screen is fun for playing games like solitaire or Sudoku or just scrolling through an article with your finger. Personally, I would recommend this version because you get a touch screen that looks great and you're also not sacrificing battery life by getting the ultra HD version (or whatever it's called). Overall, this is a great product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is super light, Modern and one of the best performing super fast laptop from Lenovo. I am glad that now I own it. Specifications are just spot-on. I do have touchscreen desktop at my work place and I barely use that function so non touchscreen laptop works perfect for me.
About 3 months ago I did purchase XPS 13 but I returned it right next day due to the dead pixels on the screen and since then my eyes were set on this model.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very light, comfortable laptop to use. I like that the Windows 10 does not have much bloat on it as well. They keyboard is very easy to type in, and I like how quiet it is too.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best laptop that I have bought ever (I have bought Surface Book, HP Spectre, Dell XPS and Macbook Air in the past). Lenovo X1 Carbon outranks all of these due to its speed and security while being very light in weight.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The device definitely runs hot. Not too warm to the touch but from my experience it idles at 50 degrees and jumps up to 70ish under 50% cpu load. Great computer it just runs a bit warmer than what would be ideal.
