I'm a professor, so I need something ultra portable with top-notch computing power, and this laptop has it all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The X1 Carbon is fast and sleek. The solid state drive and 8 gig ram keep Windows 10 running with no wait times. I thought it might not handle large graphics programs since I use Photoshop a lot. I edit 4k video. No problem. Video nice and smooth. My old rig had 16 gig ram but the X1 is handling everything nicely in 8 gig. I added my 4k monitor to help with graphics work at the desk but the X1 screen does nicely on the road.
Highly recommended if you want to scale down your laptop footprint and improve the speed at the same time. Lightweight, small, easy to carry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have been using this product for a couple weeks now and the set up was quite easy. Am also pleased to see a good updating app by Lenovo to maintain both the OS and drivers in an easy to use user interface. It did have more bloatware than I would have liked but that is pretty much the case with all machines these days. The biometric fingerprint reader is also a nice feature.
