Placed the order and received it in 9 days. Order status was updated via two emails, simple and clear. Shipping was handled carefully, there was no damage to outside packing cardboard box. The ThinkPad x1 Carbon (6th Gen) laptop was packed in another two boxes. Out of the inner box, the x1 is built with high quality, the initial setup was a breeze. The ThinkPad x1 Carbon (6th Gen) I7-8650/16GM RAM/512GB SSD/2560x1440 IPS anti-glare. My G11 student loves it. The battery lasts up to 15 hours in single charge. I also purchased x1 Ultra Sleeve at discount price, the sleeve is sleek and light in weight, it provides excellent protection to x1 laptop as it is so thin and light. Highly recommended both products.
An amazing machine, fast, quiet, really light, best keyboard that keeps me working longer than usual, the WQHD display is really bright (I keep it at about 20% brightness at all times, which in turn keeps the battery life in check). I also really love the carbon finish that is pleasant to touch. People say that it's a finger print magnet, and yes it might keep a little bit of oils, but I don't even notice it most of the time, I'll take the feeling of the material versus shiny plastic any day.
I was cross-shopping the latest MacBook Air against this. I switched after 9 years with my trusty MacBook Pro (2010 model) and my initial concerns about go back to Windows were vanquished within hours of using this machine. With Windows 10, the interface is very polished and easy to use, and the i7 processor with 16GB ram makes quick work of everything I need; whether running over a dozen tabs, multiple HD videos, etc.
A big selling point of the X1C are the multiple built-in accessory ports (HDMI, USB-A, USB-C, even an SD card slot). No Apple product comes close to offering these outputs in such a small and light device. I have zero regrets about choosing this over a MacBook Air. Zero!
The fingerprint reader makes logging in easy, and the beautiful matte finish gives it a very sleek and luxurious look. Lenovo also does a great job of boxing and packaging the X1C in a magnetic lid box finished in bright red and deep black. All of this just adds to the experience of purchasing a high-end laptop.
Disappointed. There is so much bug, I’m going to contact you guys

I just changed from a macbook air to the carbon x1 and I really love it! Overall, I am very happy with the switch over. Advantages: Fast boot up, the keyboard is very responsive and a dream to type on (like what many others have said), it is super light, sleek, the battery life is very long-lasting and very fast to charge (1 hour or so).
Disadvantages: the touchpad is not as sensitive as the macbook air (I have had to buy a mouse), the shell of the laptop is very easy to get dirty.
Been a loyal Lenovo customer for over a decade. Solid and high quality build, does not disappoint. Will be hanging onto this laptop for years to come. Highly recommend!
