I had a MacB**k Air once, and it was really slow, with a terribly pixelated screen. This, in comparison, is a no brainer when comparing items for low weight and portability- yet, functional and productive. I love it. It's my first Lenovo PC, and surely not my last. Build quality, light weight, looks, and performance are top notch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this laptop to replace my 1st gen X1 carbon that was 6 years old. Immediately noticed differences in weight and speed as expected but loved the simplicity, functionality and ease of use.
Only negative is that it does get warm so its not really a true laptop without a cusion in between

It's very compact, light, and just a generally gorgeous machine all around. I got the silver color so no smudge marks for me- I can't stand those. I work with excel often, running large spreadsheets and running programs, multitasking and this has handled everything I've thrown at it so far with ease. I used to have an old thinkpad brick from lenovo that my company provided and I had a good experience with it. I was worried after reading reviews about this machine having coil whine, loud fan noise, screen bleed but the build is top notch, along with one of the best keyboards I've had on a laptop. Overall very pleased with my purchase.

These new laptops are replacements for our older Thinkpad T430 models. Our Sales team travels quite a bit and the entire team is very happy with the Carbon X1's. The laptop has a sleek and professional look and feel to it and it has no problems running any application that we install on it. We will continue to buy the Carbon X1's moving forward. We also bought the Ultra Docking Stations for them while in the office and it just couldn't have went any better. Everyone is happy. Thanks Lenovo.
