[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a ThinkPad Carbon X1 (6 gen) one month ago. The laptop looks sleek with super-light design. The keyboard feels very comfortable typing on it. Very satisfied with my purchase.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first, I just thought I was getting another laptop. This is so much better! It is lightweight, easy to use, and very portable when on-the-go. Would highly recommend!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchase the X1 three weeks ago.
So far, it's been performing as advertised.
The good:
Quality materials, excellent keyboard, good screen for business use, excellent battery life, quiet (not sure why some people review it as loud, I personally haven't experienced any loud fan noises), lightning fast performance, plenty of ports for a laptop of this size.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought x1c 6th almost 1 year ago and recent has an issue on screen and got fixed. Overall, it is a nice laptop I have. I owned many Thinkpad products, from T420 to X1C 6th and X1C is the one I love most. Though, I have some concern of overheating problem, it did make my life easier than before. At least I have a light backpack compared with the time I used T420.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very compact laptop which makes it ideal for travel. I also really appreciate the camera shutter. Unfortunately, at the price point for the model I purchased (which was one of the highest performance configurations offered for the X1) the performance in two areas in particular are very disappointing. The first is the battery life. The X1 boasted “all day battery life” however I have found that I get no more than 4 to 5 hours of battery when using this model for work. I have no reason to believe that the lack of battery life is related to any sort of defect it just does not have the capacity I expected. The second disappointment is the speakers. They are severely lacking power to the point of being useless. I wasn’t expecting high quality audio however the speakers should be sufficiently powerful to allow the user to hear audio with a little environmental background noise. This is not the case with this model X1. I understand that both of my performance complaints are directly related to the small form factor. However, I get the impression that the technology exists to correct these issues and provide a small form factor. I had high hopes for this laptop but instead it has just been a mediocre experience.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the X1, and it has been amazing. Amazing screen, plenty of security features, and the processors is able to run all software at really high speeds. The carbon fiber makes it very lightweight and gives it a great smooth exterior finish.
