I've always had a 15" laptop so was hesitant to get a 14" screen. When I received the X1, it exceeded my expectations. The screen is bright and vibrant, and this sleek, lightweight device is exceptional. Nothing bad I can say about it.
I have had this computer for about 2 weeks and am very impressed. Build quality and weight (or lack thereof) are amazing. I ordered a relatively basic model (1.6GHZ, 8MB RAM, 1920x1080) and it is definitely more than adequate for my needs (which are, admittedly, not very onerous). I have not really abused it yet or tried to do anything to resource intensive, but overall can say that this is a very nice machine that has worked perfectly for me so far.
I have used the X1 carbon (6th gen) for just over two weeks now, and it is an incredible computer. The keyboard is extremely nice to type on, and the trackpad is very accurate. The HDR display looks amazing. The computer is very fast and also has great battery life.
The cooling fans rarely come on during normal computing, so the machine is practically silent. Even when the fans come on it's still very quiet. Also, it feels very cool to the touch.
The speakers, however, are not great for listening to music. But I would just plug in some headphones or external speakers anyways.
I bought it two weeks a go and am happy worh the performance. The only problem os the matetial of the body (carbon) that shows everything on it even your finger print. Very hard to clean up the dirt on it ...
Ultra thin features but keyboard needs improvement

I own a 4th gen X1 carbon as well. Everything is great about the 6th gen except for the keyboard. The button size looks reduced a little bit and as a result I don’t get the same level of feedback like the 4th gen keyboard. I would still rate this as the best professional ultra book.
