[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this laptop after 9 years of being exclusively on MacOS. Windows has come a long way, and this hardware has developed to a point that it is a viable alternative to a Macbook Pro for professional users. I like the feel of the keyboard vs the butterfly garbage that I had. I wish the screen had greater resolution and viewability in direct light, but I did not splurge for the upgraded display. The trackpad can be touchy.
My biggest complaint is that the speaker placement is horrible. This laptop's speaker are quieter and more garbled than most phones that came out 5 years ago.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a wonderful laptop. After months of reading reviews and consideration, I chose the X1C6 to be my first Thinkpad and I think I made a great decision. Switching from a 2011 MacBook Pro, I've found the processor and 16GB of RAM to be a refreshing speed boost. As others have shared countless times, the keyboard on this machine is wonderful. I wouldn't go so far as saying that the keyboard is good enough to justify the purchase in and of itself, as this particular configuration ran me back almost $1800. The premium build quality and thin/lightness of the device are wonderful features. The WQHD matte screen is definitely worth the price bump as it is easy on the eyes in both low and high light environments. Really, the only things keeping this from a 5* for me is that the internal speakers are so poor, it is almost laughable. I knew this going into my purchase but I did not realize how quiet and tinny the noise would be coming from the two bottom-facing speakers. I almost regret not waiting for the 7th generation X1 for that reason alone. Also, the soft touch casing is very nice but smudges way too easily. I obsessively wash my hands now before I use the computer to keep even the slightest amount of grease from my hands getting on the palm rests. Other than that, I love the X1C6. It is fast, hassle-free, and ultra portable for getting work done on the go.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I travel a lot so this light and powerful version is very convenience for me, I can open several apps at the same time without crack, I can work with Photoshop and PowerPoint at the same time (I couldn't before using other computers). I do also open several Chrome tabs for my work and i have no issues with that. This laptop has solved a lot of past issues.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My critical points for choosing a laptop would be performance, weights and exterior.
Based on those, I chose thinkpad business line brand and was using over 5 years.
5 yrs past even now, I think the best one which meets all those conditions is thinkpad lines in same. So I decided and X1 is quite satisfying to use at work.
A powerful machine but modest at first glance. Lightweight World Champion ! It is my 3rd laptop Lenovo . Nothing to add. Any other comments are unnecessary.
