This 6th gen is to replace my 1st gen. So far I'm quite happy. It is insanely light and performance is great. Running Debian 9.3 and things are very smooth overall. The monitor (not Dolby Vision) is fantastic. I've only had it for 24 hours, but I estimate battery life to be at around 5 hours for normal (development) usage -- not bad. I'm sure I'd get better battery life on Windows 10 or if I tweaked the kernel for optimal power usage (too lazy to do this).
I would recommend this to a friend!
