[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this laptop roughly one month ago and have absolutely loved it since. I have had no issues. It is very fast and very efficient. Considering how much I use it and the things I use it for, I have had no frustrations with speed. I look forward to it staying this way.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this laptop after getting 2 Razer Blade Stealths that broke within a month each. The overall build quality of this ultra book is incredible, temps stay low even under heavy load in games (I use an eGPU since there is no internal GPU). I honestly thought I would be “settling” for a laptop that didn’t look as good as the Razer’s on the outside but I was very surprised by how clean this laptop looks.
Now for the annoyances of this laptop, however few. First of all, shipping time was terrible. It took nearly a month from the time of purchase to arrive (east coast US). The second issue I have experienced will only affect a small user base. This has to do with purchasing the RJ-45 Ethernet adapter (~$15 I believe). Since there is no full Ethernet port on this laptop you are somewhat forced into buying some sort of dongle if you don’t want to use WiFi. The issue with this only affects users who have many usb peripherals; due to the close proximity of the RJ-45 plug and the second USB-C plug you must choose to have one or the other plugged in at any given time. Since you are limited with 2 USB 3.0 ports this is quite an annoyance for someone who has many USB devices like me. I would suggest for anyone looking to purchase this laptop to opt for a USB 3.0 to Ethernet adapter rather than the RJ-45 because at least then you can plug in 2 USB-C to USB 3.0 splitters.
Overall I am very happy with this purchase; Lenovo has sove very quality software built into this laptop and minimal updating was needed at time of arrival. I would recommend the touchscreen option if you enjoy that (personally I use it a lot), otherwise I would reccomend that nice super bright glossy screen. This is a device I was happy to pay nearly 2k for and it was worth every penny.

I had the 5th generation before and that was the best laptop I had tested. My new version is without a doubt a step ahead, it has the WQHD display, 16GB memory, 1TB SSD and the new i7 8th gen.
The display on my previous version was the standard FHD IPS anti-glare, I highly reccomend the WQHD, the resolution is great.
You can see on the photo below that it has some glare but the brightness is so good the glare disappears in any daylight.
I also like the new “blockable camera” which I see as a good benefit. The keyboard and mouse are of the highest quality and feels very good in use.
Overall the X1 carbon 6th generation is extremely fast, bright and light.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had my X1 Carbon 6th Gen for just under a week now and it has been great.
First impressions when I pulled it out of the box were really positive, it felt really light and had a nice crisp screen. Setup was super easy and software installs were nice and quick.
The keyboard and trackpoint feel good and are nice and accurate. It is easy to type on and the screen has a really nice resolution that you can look at all day. I also really like the camera shutter.
It is a great computer for work and travel (the rapid charge and lightweight feel is great) and Windows 10 Pro runs without issue.
Love my new X1. It is everything my MacBook Air was and was not. Let's see if it lasts as long, were off to a good start a couple months into this. it's refreshing to have a lightweight yet powerful platform that can run business class applications.
I'm an IT manager for many different businesses. Been buying these X1 Carbons since 3rd Gen. Very nice laptops. lightweight, powerful, sturdy, amazing touchpad, fingerprint reader works very well. touchscreen is a matte finish which i like better. doesn't leave too much fingerprint residue like the glossy ones do. i recommend opening the App "Lenovo Vantage" and do all the device driver/firmware upgrades before you start installing anything on it. This is very important for any laptop really. Lenovo makes it super easy to do these critical updates for end users by using that App that should be preinstalled.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought mine about a month ago and couldn’t be happier overall. The ONLY downside is the 4K resolution means the native size for everything is REALLY small. It would also be nice to be able to have the 4K resolution with the touchscreen and anti-glare screen. I’d like to have separate function keys, but it’s not a deal-breaker. The battery life is fantastic, the keyboard is phenomenal, and the speed is insane. I would absolutely buy this laptop again.
