I have used Lenovo (and IBM) Thinkpad devices for many years now - and when I started my new business, I wanted a laptop that was bulletproof, rugged, long lasting, dependable, ran Windows OS and had the red trackball. When I tried the X1 Carbon - I was immediately in love. With the Intel i7 chip, and solid state drive, this thing is fast.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this computer for work a month ago and it is the best computer I have owned. Much better than my Mac. Great keyboard. Lightweight and thin.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Until it is in your hands it is difficult to appreciate how thin and light this laptop is. Great screen. The keyboard … is a Lenovo.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had tech savvy friends swear by Thinkpads their entire lives and now I know why. This machine is lightweight, fast, and has a battery big enough to last the entire workday.
The screen is bright and vibrant. The keyboard is compact but not too small. My hands are fairly large and I had no problems typing.
A few minor quibbles though. There's only two USB ports, which can be an annoyance if you want to use a mouse. The Fn and Ctrl keys have their positions swapped compared to the keyboards I'm used to which was also a little annoying, but your mileage may vary.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great computer overall: beautiful design and feel, extraordinary performance, good battery life, and great screen size without sacrificing portability.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this because for work I need a Windows computer. Used to Macs, I place a high priority on quality hardware. The Lenovo X1 Carbon is a work of art and something that screams quality.
