Loving this so far. Super light, sleek, and awesome keyboard. I love how the screen folds all the way down, and is matte. Upon purchase, I did have an issue with some fan/throttling noise, but I did some research and changed my power settings within windows and now the thing is silent. I got this to use for grad school, and I’m loving it to do research and write papers on. The only thing is I wish the keyboard backlight would come on automatically when I start typing. Overall, fast, practical, and secure.
I bought this a month ago and so far its been great. The HDR panel is incredible, bright and colors are spot on. The only issue with the panel is it's quite reflective, and usually requires me to use high brightness setting in bright environments. On the other hand, the keyboard is amazing. It's so different going back to a different keyboard, my wpm and accuracy is like never before. I also really like the two physical buttons at the top of the trackpad, they compensate for the slightly smaller trackpad. The track nipple is essential, awesome for scrolling and getting to the top of pages quickly. Battery life is good, I charge it everyday and find I get down to roughly 60% after a few hours of use a day. Device is extremely quick. Last thing I noticed is the fan can whine a little at higher speeds but it doesn't speed up that quickly, only when plugged in and being loaded with a lot of tasks. Get 16gb of ram if you plan to use a 4k monitor, streaming to another monitor in edge used up 4gb of ram and you'll have the perfect amount of headroom for multiple tasks.
Great computer with stunning display (if you order the 500 nits one), but with some flaws that are not allowed for a >USD2000 machine. Fresh out of the box windows kept alerting me about a unknown USB device that is consuming too much power, only “resolution“ I could find was to turn off any USB related notifications. Also the finger print reader is not reliable. Furthermore, when using a Apple iPhone headsets, the sound quality in a video call was very bad and I had to turn up sensitivity of audio input to max to fix. Furthermore, the power cable between the power block and the wall plug feels super cheap, not a good match to the price point of the device. Lastly, the high res display is great, but many windows built-in (not to mentoin third party app) icons have not been optimized for it and look grainy. All in all great laptop, but too many flaws for that price point.
I would recommend this to a friend!
